Travel Package, Info. Meeting and Welcome Dinner

Hello Everyone!

Your Tatge-Jig travel packages will be out by next week; make sure to keep an eye out for them! They will include your backpack, luggage tags, travel documents, and detailed itinerary information. Once you get yours, get excited, look everything over, get more excited, ask questions if anything is confusing, and then get even more excited!

For anyone who would like to attend, we are planning a group meeting with Rick on Friday, September 14th (date tentative) at his home in Union Grove. This is not a must-attend meeting, but a good way to get more information and ask questions. Wine, cheese, Irish coffee and other snacks will be served.

For those of you flying out of Chicago with us:
If you are able to meet up with us in Chicago on the Thursday night before our departure (10/4), we would like to treat everyone to a casual welcome/pre-departure dinner. We will be dining at Giordanos for some Chicago style pizza and pre-flight celebrations. This is also a great way to make sure we all get to our flight on time! This is completely optional and we understand if you can't join us.

Eric and I booked a block of rooms for anyone interested in staying the night in Chicago. Each room is non-smoking with 2 Queen beds and can hold up to 5 people. If you would like your own room, the cost is roughly $100 ($99.88 to be exact- this includes all taxes, charges, and fees). However, if you would like to save some money and share with another couple or split the cost with a group, you are welcome to do that as well! Feel free to book another room/hotel or just join us for dinner.

The hotel has excellent reviews and is roughly 8 miles from O'Hare. Breakfast and airport shuttle are both complimentary. When we check out at noon on Friday, the hotel can store our luggage until we head to the airport.

Now for an update to an update:

We are planning a meeting with our travel agent, Rick, and a representative from CIE Tours. This will be a very good time to get specific travel details and ask any questions you may have. We will be handing out your travel packages at this time also. If you can't make it to the meeting, no worries, we will mail your travel package to you.

The meeting will more than likely be held at Ricks home in Union Grove (thats in Wisconsin - cheese (and other snacks) will be provided). Date and time will be updated later this week. We'll keep you posted!

As the date nears and the fun begins, we will be posting updates regularly. Stay tuned!

Hello everyone!

We hope you are getting as excited for Ireland as we are! We are only a few short months from departure and we you need to finalize your flight details. Our travel agent, Rick, has reserved seats for everyone on one flight untilJuly 1^st  through Aer Lingus (after that date the seats will be released to the general public). Whether you fly with Aer Lingus, or another airline, is completely up to you. We have been checking prices daily and it seems our reserved price is only ~ $50 cheaper than buying a ticket on your own. You may be able to find cheaper airfare but you need to decide whether you want to travel with the group. Again, all that matters is that you land safely in Ireland.

Once you decide how you will book your tickets, if you have not already done so, please contact Rick no later than Sunday, July 1^st. If he does not hear from you by then, your seat will no longer be guaranteed.

Formal invites will be in the mail shortly but we want you to know that a $200 down payment will be due by June 1st if you plan on joining us in Ireland. This should be paid to our travel agent via credit card, personal check, or PayPal. Your deposit is refundable through June 21^st in case you change your mind.

You can also email Rick directly at Rick@tailwind-destinations.com regarding any questions you have (payment deadlines, travel itineraries, travel insurance information, etc.) He organized the trip details and has the answers to all of your questions. As always, we also encourage you to contact us if you have questions or comments – this is also YOUR vacation!

Our travel agent made a personalized website for our trip! Here you will find official itineraries, pricing information, payment schedules, FAQ's, and all of his contact information. The travel agency is called Tailwind Destinations and our agent is Rick McNabb.

In order to access our page, go to the website listed below, hover your cursor over "Client Pages" tab in the upper right-hand side of the screen, then click on "Eric and Marissa." You will be prompted to enter a user name and password. The user name and password are both "tatge" (all lowercase). Please let us know if you have any problems accessing the site or have any other questions. Rick is looking forward to your feedback on the site he created for us, so please visit it as soon as you get a chance and tell us what you think!

Flights

Hello everyone!

It's time to start thinking about flight options. If you are planning on flying with the group, please let us know as soon as possible so we can get some rough numbers to our travel agent. The more people we have traveling together, the better! Flights will need to be paid in full in order to hold seats, so please keep that in mind. The sooner we book flights, the cheaper they will be!

Our travel agent has a personal website set up for everyone to visit with any questions regarding our trip. We are setting up a login and password and should have it ready within the next few days! Check back for updates!

Formal invitations should be out within the next few weeks. In the meantime, start thinking about whether or not you plan on attending so we can get flights booked as soon as possible.
